D.J.'s Dusty Vinyl and Dickie Dansette, play in tandem, one record player each. They insist on playing strictly Vinyl (you won’t find any CDs, MP3’s or any other digital jiggery-pokery here) ‘toons’ from the last century to keep the dance floor jiving, bopping and jumping all night long!

Hawaiian, ska, blue beat, reggae, calypso, rock-steady, northern soul,
lovers rock, boogaloo, underground, kwela, township jazz, punk, funk,
Motown, dub, two tone, pschycadelia.
Dickie Dancette and Dusty Vinyl enjoy playing the eclectic mix of records they have lovingly curated over the last thirty years but for specialist events they will work around a specific musical style (i.e. strictly jive swing music for jive dance).
Technical Stuff
D.J.’s
Dusty and Dickie come complete with all there own D.J. equipment
including a 1200 watt P.A. with sub bass. Easily enough to cope with a
village hall size venue.
For street events, field events, boats, busses
and other out the way events, a smaller 12 volt powered p.a. is available
which will play for up to five hours on one battery (but we bring
two!)
Dickie and Dusty provide there own set and décor
but do not own disco lights!
Yes, Dickie and Dusty always look like
that, even when shopping!
Dickie and Dusty require secure parking for
a transit sized van
