The Fabulous Swinging Chandeliers is a set five piece show band. Celebrating the days of dance halls, the band play music from the late 1930's to the earlyest part of the 1950's. With strict tempo's specifically for partner dancing. Jive, The Lindy Hop, The Charleston, Balboa, The Shag, The Shim Sham, The Stroll. The band also do (on request) music for ballroom dancing, quicksteps, foxtrots, waltz, tango, bosa nova. This band is inspired by the small 'big bands' of the dance hall era. Pioneers of the pop song. Artists such as Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway, Louis Prima, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Pee Wee King, Django Rheinhart, to name but a few. Featuring: Three Vocalists, Gretsch Guitar, Saxophones, Slide Trombone.
