Name : Paul Crosby
Stage Name : Rusti Steel
Role : Guest Musician on Album 'Fabulous Swinging Chandeliers',
Brief Bio : Born in Sin City, in the shadow of t' Tower, Rusti started making noises on guitar at the age of 11. Influenced by bluesmen Muddy Waters, Elmore James & Robert Johnson, Rusti had a go at bottleneck guitar before progressing onto steel guitar by laying his acoustic on its back and eventually buying a "proper" steel when he could afford it. The "proper" steel was a good investment as Rusti ended up backing various legends, including Hank Thompson and Marvin Rainwater. As well as playing steel, Rusti has been lead singer and guitarist (rhythm or lead) in bands since 1978, achieving most success with Rusti Steel & the Tin Tax (with whom he toured Europe and Scandinavia, made radio and TV appearances and had several record releases, one of which won Best Album Award in the British Country Music Awards). Besides performing music, Rusti also enjoys writing songs (one of his songs, "Cafe-A-La-Rock", was recorded by Bill Haley's Comets). It was while playing steel for Hank Thompson at the Rhythm Riot that Rusti met Stephane from Swervyworld and so began his journey down that Swervy road.
